NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

Walking to End Alzheimers
Lifecare Innovations’ staff members joined a large, enthusiastic group to help in the fight against Alzheimer’s on Sunday, September 18, 2011. The event featured a 5K walk along the lakefront, made all the more fun by a blended group consisting of several business organizations. Our group was pulled together by our friends at Peck Bloom and we are grateful for all their efforts in bringing this wonderful opportunity together.
Vital Signs of Growth: Lifecare Home Solutions Adds Home Nursing to Its Service Offerings
Lifecare Home Solutions, already well known for high-caliber and well-trainednon-medical caregivers, now adds a new tool to its menu for those who wish to remainin their homes. Pending receipt of our license from the State of Illinois, Lifecare Home Solutions will make available specialty services from skilled visiting nurses, including:
- Medication Set up and Management
- Diabetic Management
- Hospice Medication Administration
- Wound Care Management
- Colostomy and Catheter Maintenance
The addition of these services broadens the options of those whose care needs are increasing but whose desire to remain at home is as strong as ever. Home Nursing services compliment the efforts of family and non-medical caregivers as they come on an as-needed, hourly basis to set up medication for the week, check and re-dress wounds, assess new symptoms and otherwise bring their expertise to the home setting.
Lifecare Home Solutions’ private nursing services can also lend days and weeks of reassurance to clients as they contend with new medical issues after a hospital stay and after the Medicare-funded nurse has stopped coming. Whether in a home in the community or an independent /assisted living environment, private nurses can continue to monitor new or ongoing wounds, guide and instruct on the management of new colostomy bags or new diabetes requirements, and assist with other medical complexities as they are introduced to our loved ones.
The same high quality and professionalism associated with the Lifecare brand will distinguish this vital new program. Please call 630-953-2154 to learn more about how a Lifecare Home Solutions nurse can bring comfort and confidence home to your clients or family members.
